I was born in Kraków in 1989, but I’ve been living in Warszawa since I was 3 years old and I feel a real sentimental connection with this city. I went to a music school at the age of 6. I played the violin for 3 years and after that episode I switched to a clarinet until the end of my high school. Then i decided to study composition at Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Warszawa. In 2015 I finished my Master Studies with prof. Zygmunt Krauze. My music was performed in Poland and abroad (Ukraine, Indonesia, Italy), i took part in workshops with many composers and sound artists such as Martijn Padding, Simon Steen-Andersen, Philippe Manoury. I create acoustic music, write and perform electronic music, compose pieces for theatre (where I collaborate with my father, director Waldemar Śmigasiewicz), film and visual arts. I am also interested in sound studies and soundscape composition. I constantly look for the opportunities to develop my musical language, creativity and skills.
